Hello!

I am Charisa Ausfahl, originally from the small town of Alvin, Texas, located between Houston and Galveston, and home to the great baseball pitcher Nolan Ryan. My dad, who spent his career at Johnson Space Center, taught me to dream big and follow the Lord - even if that meant from a console in Mission Control. My mom, who devoted herself to serving on the boards of several non-profits while still homeschooling my two younger sisters and me from kindergarten through high school, taught me a love and compassion for people.

I attended Cedarville University in Ohio and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. I married my college sweetheart, Philip, back in 2001. We have 5 amazing children: three are homegrown, and two we adopted internationally. Regardless of how God brought each of them into our home, they are all an incredible gift we treasure.

But the real foundation of who I am, the motivation for everything I do, is the fact that I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I believe my calling in life is to 1) Love God and 2) Love Others. That applies to my photography business as well. I believe that is why people find it easy to relax and be comfortable in front of my camera - for clients to leave as friends.
