Spider-Man Spotted: Terrorist or Vigilante?
Yesterday, Spider-Man himself was spotted in downtown Manhattan, allegedy attempting to stop an out of control bus. According to witnesses, Spider-Man stepped in front of the bus and forcibly stopped it moving using webs that were strung from both sides of the street. Passengers inside the bus stated that nothing had been wrong, and Spider-Man's sudden halt caught them by surprise. Other witnesses, however, claim that the driver continued to drive even though Spider-Man requested that it come to a complete stop, nearly running him over in the process. "I was worried that Spider-Man might kill himself," says eyewitness Mary Jane Watson. "He was yelling to the driver to hit the breaks, but she didn't listen. Honestly, she hadn't been driving that reckless." Does this prove all the more that New York's Web Slinger is a menace, a terrorist, or just a vigilante?
Brooklyn Bridge Under Construction
Roads leading onto the Brooklyn Bridge will be temporarily shut down from August 17th to the 21st between 6am and 6pm. Damage was taken along the highway during a recent skirmish between Spider-Man and an individual dubbing themselves "The Green Goblin." Said individual was witnessed flying through the bridge cables on some sort of high-tech hoverboard, hurling explosions down on the bridge. Police attempted to deesculate the situation with tear gas, but the floating inidviual escaped into the night sky. Spider-Man unfortunately took the brunt of the gas and was consequently asked by paramedics on site to be transported to the hospital. Spider-Man refused and swung away before he could be detained. Authorities are further investigating the incident and what led up to the fight.
